Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who worked previously as an anchor for television at ABC News. She is best
known for her stint as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, 2014-2018, and
as host of The View, 2015-2018. She was previously co-anchor of America This
Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to limited TV opportunities she worked in
radio sales. She was eventually able to find work for an entire year as a
production assistant at WKEF/WRGT . She then occasionally anchor and report.
She was the weekend and weekday sports anchors for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from
2002 until. When her contract ended in 2005, she was a anchor and sports
reporter for the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from November 2005 to
December 2011. In December 2011 she was employed by ABC News which is the
division for news of ABC. She joined the network for its World News Now and
America This Morning on January 2nd 2012. She also appeared on Good Morning
America's fill-in show, Good Morning America, beginning on January 2, 2012.
Later she was promoted as the New York-based reporter for all ABC News
programs. The last show she appeared on was World News Now and America This
Morning was January 22nd in 2013. Following the time that Bianna Golodryga was
transferred to Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend
was on August 9, 2014. News. On the 25th of August, 2015 ABC announced that she
would join The View as a co-host for season 19. Her contract was renewed by ABC
to run the 20th season on the 3rd of August. Season 21 also got renewed, with
the co-hosting role. She was a regular guest on episodes on Fridays of the 21st
season and the 22nd season.
