Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
began her professional career as a TV and film producer, notably "The New
Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks," (1986). Post went on to
produce projects such as Double Dare (1976), and has appeared on many television
shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna
Girl (2001). Her most memorable TV performance was as "Christine
Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 , she played in 156
episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet and a
well-known nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 to
April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987), and Daisy
Ross (born on March 30 the 30th of March, 1990) were born during her second
marriage to Michael A. Ross. Born in Palo Alto, California and was raised in
Walnut Creek. The school she attended was Las Lomas High School in Walnut
Creek, California; she was an athlete. The Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis &
Clark College in Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping at The Wildest
West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her remains were returned
to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post
passed away on August 7, 2021, just three months from what would have been her
71st birthday on November 4. She passed away 27 days after fellow Night Court
(1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed died on July 11, 2021. Even though
the two shows were completely separate, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with
her character, Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire
(1992) was released in the same year, with Post being a character who was not
her own Georgie Lahti. The character coincidentally worked in Washington DC
(and later moving to a town that was smaller).
