Annie Wersching Bio

Annie Wersching (born March 28 1977) is an American actress best known for her performance as Renee Walker in the American television show 24 as well as her voice and motion capture for the character of Tess in Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us. Wersching was raised in St. Louis. She went to high school at Crossroads College Preparatory School in the Central West End of St. Louis and graduated in 1995. In her early years, she competed in Irish dance and belonged to the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. Millikin University gave her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, which she graduated in 1999. Wersching started her acting career by appearing as an extra on Star Trek: Enterprise. She then went on to be a guest star on shows like Charmed as well as Killer Instinct, Charmed and Supernatural. She played Amelia Joffe, a recurring character in ABC Daytime's soap series General Hospital from March 2007 until November 2007. In addition, she has worked in theaters such as Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire as well as the Utah Shakespearean Festival.Wersching played FBI Special Agent Renee Walker in the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.After her two-season time in 24, Wersching played guest roles on a variety of shows which included CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles, Hawaii Five-0, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, Castle, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries and Touch (which has her 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland). She was also a series regular on the Amazon Prime crime-show Bosch in 2014. Wersching was a catcher for the National League in the 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.In December 2012, it was revealed that in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us Wersching played the voice actor as well as the mo-cap of the character Tess. Her character was teased on Geoff Keighley's Twitter page before she was made public in the story trailer shown on the Spike Video Game Awards on December 7th, 2012.In September 2021, it was revealed that Wersching would be playing the Borg Queen in the sequel to Star Trek: Picard.
