Sara Evans Bio
Sara Lynn Evans was born in Boonville Missouri on February 5, 1971. She was raised on a farm with six siblings. The extended family of her parents created a band, and she was chosen as the singer in charge. When she was 8, tragedy struck and she chose to become a singer. Following an accident in the car Evans was forced to utilize a wheelchair in order to pay for her medical bills. Evans began performing in nightclubs in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 16. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee when she was 20 with the hope of becoming a better musician. She met fellow musician and was given the chance to be a star.Craig Schelskewho she later got married with whom she got married in the year 1993. After a brief stay in Oregon, Evans & Schelske returned to Nashville and began recording demos. One of them, dubbed "Tiger by the Tail" landed her to an agreement with the RCA label in Nashville.She launched her debut album "Three Chords and the Truth" under the label and received praise from Billboard, CMT and MVPA. Her second album, "No Place That Far", was released in 1998. She gained more popularity after that. The No. 1 hit, "No Place That Far," was a duet she performed with Vince Gill. It was ranked No. 1. on the Country charts and also entered the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40.
